Society of 1924

A Tradition of Supporting the Physicians of Tomorrow
through a Legacy of Endowment

The Society of 1924 was established not only to commemorate the date the SMA Alliance was founded but to provide a vehicle by which SMA and SMA Alliance members may receive recognition for continued contributions to the Association’s existing Research and Education Endowment Fund. The purpose of the Society is to enable further investment for members in the future of medical and health care delivery by providing scholarships for third year medical students.

Become a Member

To become a participating member of the Society of 1924, an individual must pledge to contribute either a minimum of $500 through a one-time payment or an initial pledge payment of $200 followed by at least a $100 payment over the following three years.

Honor Friends and Family

Contributions to the Society may be pledged as outlined above, or through a memorial or bequest. Posthumous membership in the Society of 1924 may also be bestowed on a deceased SMA or SMAA member by a one-time payment of $500 in their honor from family, friends, or an organization. Cards acknowledging contributions made in honor or in memory of others are available.
