Nancy Swikert, MD
2010-2011 President, SMA Alliance

Nancy believes strongly in the unified service of organized medical association alliances, having served as Past President of her county alliance (Northern Kentucky), Past President of her state alliance (Kentucky Medical Association Alliance), and nationally (American Medical Association Alliance) on Legislation and Membership Committees for several years. Nancy is a life member of the American Medical Association.

In 1990, Nancy was introduced to additional service opportunities in the Southern Medical Association Alliance. She has chaired several committees, has been Vice President of Health Education, Membership and Doctors’ Day committees, and has been a Councilor of both the SMA Alliance as well as SMA. Nancy is a member of the Society of 1906, which is the philanthropic arm of SMA and supports the Future of Medicine by working closely with medical students and residents.

Nancy, and her husband, Don live in Union, Kentucky and are both Family Physicians there. They serve their local community by volunteering for the American Cancer Society and doing volunteer teaching for better health. Nancy enjoys reading and shopping. She and Don have two children, Kevin and Montine, and are the proud grandparents of four cats.
